The operational climate (ambient temperatures 20°C–40°C), high humidity, stop-and-go urban traffic, and high dust loads classify as “Severe Duty” per MB Work Instructions. Under these conditions, the filter media loads with contaminants faster.

Recommended Replacement Interval under East African operating parameters:

• Maximum: 10,000 km or 12 months (whichever occurs first)

• Supercharged (Kompressor) units: Do not exceed 8,000 km under heavy urban operation to prevent oil bypass (filter clogging) and supercharger oil starvation
